2 Weeks old

The first 2 weeks we mainly spent in a diaper and a blanket only but we are trying to get dressed everyday now hence the cute outfit
The baby bjorn carrier has turned out to be a hit. Today we went outside with the dogs and on a 15 minuet walk around the neighborhood. Little Milton slept the whole time.
He loves his play gym. He is very entertained by the bright colors and dangling objects.
He has quite a bit of hair, especially after a bath when it's all fluffy.

After bath time
I love the photo below. My two favorite guys!!

10 Days old

He's so sweet. I can't stop looking at him. When he takes a nap I want to wake him up because I miss him so much!

One week old

This is Milton's first bath. I'm not sure he liked it. He cried and then peed on us but mom has a lot to learn so maybe next time will be better.

Milton was one week old yesterday. This is his Moby wrap that Aunt Asia got for us. It's our goal to learn to use it before Big Milton goes back to work.

Please welcome Milton Joseph Villarrubia, IV

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our son Milton Joseph Villarrubia, IV.

Labor story:

I went into early labor at 10am on Thursday October 29th. Luckily the contractions were so mild that I wasn't sure I was really in labor until 12 hours later when my water broke. At 11pm I had my first strong contraction that broke my water and things began to progress very quickly from there. By the time we got dressed, in the car and on the way to Albuquerque, the contractions were 3-4 minuets apart. We arrived at the hospital around 12:30am and he was born at 4:03am. Luckily I was able to have 100% natural childbirth. It was the hardest and most amazing experience of my life to date. He weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. He came out crying and Milton cut the umbilical cord. While they worked on me he went straight into Milton's arms. We were very shocked that he was a boy. I was sure he was a girl throughout the entire pregnancy. Obviously he is named after his dad and after much diliberation we have decided we will in deed call him Milton. It suits him. Milton senior will be going by Milt from now so our new little one will be called Milton. He is by far the most amazing thing to happen to both of us. We are elated and filled with joy to welcome the new addition to our little family.
